Just buy a bunch of these - https://www.ironkey.com/ . They are a bit
pricey but have a good reputation.
Printing/plotting will not be affected by the use of an encrypted drive
and will just depend upon the proper printer drivers being installed on
the machine you'll be printing from.
Encryption won't affect any file format conversions.
Personally, I just buy cheap $10 drives and keep any sensitive files in
an encrypted zip file. Others may want or need more elaborate methods.

Subject: encryption question
Folks,
A former colleague of mine, who is not a member of the listserve, asked
if I would toss this question in front of the esteemed listserve.
Her company is looking at encryption software for portable storage
devices. Evidently there has been some 'carelessness' with jump drives
and whatnot.
Has anyone any experience with this? The primary questions are what
companies are leaders in the field, what testing parameters were used to
determine the most effective software application with the minimum of
user distress (and would you be willing to share them?), is printing
from a variety of printers/plotters an issue, is conversion of files
from native to raster formats affected, what about the ability to
display thumbnails in an application, at what layer is the file
encrypted?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
