AIIM is pleased to announce the offering of training courses on the
standard ISO 19005-1, Document management - Electronic document file
format for long-term preservation - Part 1: Use of PDF 1.4 (PDF/A-1)
more familiarly known as PDF/Archive. This training is designed to
introduce you to the standard and help organizations to better preserve
their electronic knowledge. The course covers the technologies and best
practices that help you to implement PDF/A in your organization so that
you can preserve your electronic documents. It covers such concepts as
archiving, preservation, electronic records management, and metadata as
they relate to the standard.
This course will be available as web-based training in mid-August. We
have scheduled public classes for September 10-11 in Phoenix; September
30 -October 1 in Silver Spring, MD, October 4-15 in Ottawa, Canada and
November 11-12 in Chicago. Additional classes are being scheduled.
