Interesting that it appears Forrester seems to see "SaaS" as a cloud service
market.

Also interesting that the quoted source in this article likens it to what
happened with electrical power, but the argument falls flat for me... he's
talking about a single business entity generating its own power as opposed
to buying it on the grid. This is like apples and oranges, as the article
above points out.

I notice comparisons in the article discuss time sharing, ASPs, XSPs having
gone rapidly from boom to bust... makes me wonder if this is similar, why
would anyone invest their information assets in the boom knowing there's a
potential of the bust??
