Out of curiosity, do you know if this functionality includes performing a
'kill' on a device that has been powered down when it is powered up
subsequently?

I recall one news story about someone who had purposely targeted someone's
PDA and after stealing it powered it down to prevent a remote kill, but
never found out if the device automatically was wiped or non-functional when
it was powered up again.

Naturally it wouldn't be able to connect to a server, but the internal
memory may remain intact- and do these use a hard wired PROM on the chassis
or a removable media card of some kind that could be taken out and then read
on another device?

Not being RIM knowledgeable (sorry, among the classes of devices NIMBY) I'm
just curious if this would be an issue.
