I'm not quite sure where in my line of thinking the understanding that
they were an agency came from. Yes. I understand that they are not a
federal agency; that was my mistake and I will go on record as saying I
was wrong...There's a first time for everything...lol..But Steve is
correct that local government agencies are not subject to FOIA however
they WOULD be subject to state open records laws; but since this an
agency it is not...so please disregard that statement...and it is not
necessary to inform us that Hamilton beach makes appliances
anymore...That point has been very well articulated by many people. I
will be sure and read the entire message before responding in the
future.

Thanks again!

I think Hamilton Beach makes appliances; blenders, toasters, etc.
(Unless there is a town somewhere by that name.)

Municipalities are not subject to USA Federal Freedom of Information
Act requests; that is a
Federal requirement for Federal government and agencies. Many states
however have passed open records-type legislation which affect state
government, and many also placed public records requirements on
municipalities.
