Good morning, Dustin and RIM colleagues!
I work for a very large airport (Orlando International Airport) and
since our establishment in 1975, we, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority,
have operated under the statutes and rules of the State of Florida.
And according to Section 257.36(5), Florida Statutes, "It is the duty of
each agency to: (a) Cooperate with the division in complying with the
provisions of this chapter and designate a records management liaison
officer. (b) Establish and maintain an active and continuing program for
the economical and efficient management of records."
So, the Aviation Authority HAS to have a records management program, but
why wouldn't you have a program, a process in place to aid in your
corporate memory? It just makes good common sense, right?
Hope all of you have a wonderful Friday and St. Valentine's Day weekend!
See many of you in October at ARMA in beautiful Orlando!!!
