Hopefully John's response answered some of the questions here.  There
are some lessons to be learned for us, and our Headquarters staff is
working to ensure that they glean what they can from the process and
allow us to learn from it to improve our opportunities for success next
time.  

It does appear that the US Bureau of Labor Statistics is quite resistant
to the establishment of "new occupations"....and that they set a very
high bar for that.  While all of us who heard Allen Weinstein, the
former chief of NARA, appreciated his comments and his testimony on our
behalf, it did not guarantee that the USBLS would heed his
recommendations.  

As a member of ARMA International, I was very happy with the level of
effort that HQ staff and some volunteers on our task force invested in
this effort.  I have no doubt that many of us will be asked to
contribute to the future efforts so that we can make a stronger case
next time around.
