Let me respectfully disagree. According to ISO definition ("The integrity of
a record refers to its being complete and unaltered"), an e-mail without
some of the attachments lacks integrity. At the same time it can be
authentic: its origins are known, and it is what it purports to be."


Hi Natasha,

Actually, the record in this case comprises both the e-mail message and
*all* of its attachments.  If any of the attachments are *missing* (and by
missing, I mean that they are no longer inextricably attached or linked to
the record--e.g., through a record profile), then the record is both
*incomplete* and *altered* and, therefore, lacks integrity and is
inauthentic.
