Near On-Line E-Mail Archive Project"

In September 2006 Andy Hill described the Attorney General's Office's quest
for a near line archiving product for e-mail. Two and a half years later,
are they any better off? Was this the silver bullet the Attorney General's
Office was looking for? How have employees embraced the new technology?
Does Andy have any hair left? Find out when Andy comes to present, "So Far,
So Good, So What?"
Andy Hill was appointed the Director of Information Services Division for
the Attorney General's Office in March of 2005. During his 15 year career
at the Attorney General's Office, he has worked as a Computer
Analyst/Programmer, Project Manager, Application Services Manager and IT
Operations Manager. His experience includes the development and
implementation of an enterprise case management system for the office,
replacing 26 different independent systems, retiring the agency's mainframe,
and moving all computer applications into a PC network based environment.
He was named by Government Technology magazine one of the top 25 Doers,
Dreamers and Drivers in March of 2008. Andy also serves on the board for
the Information Processing Management Association as Chair and is a graduate
of Evergreen State College.
