You know you can only do so much. But if it were me I would have a friendly chat with your general counsel to get their take on your issue. Do the same with an IT manager - someone who is high enough to help.


I was a part of our legal team for 6 years. I'm now in an IT group - specifically business applications support. I see how the work comes in and how many unsupported applications we have. In many cases our clients have either developed or purchased an application on their own. Back in the day prior to our existence this was the norm. Little by little we're finding these rogue aps, so I am experiencing the opposite. Both situations are frustrating.
