Sad to see, but today marked the last printing of one of Seattle's two newspapers. The Post Intelligencer (P.I.) ended it's hard copy run today.

We still have the Seattle Times and down my way n Tacoma the News Tribune.

Why do I care? Well besides reading the paper with my friends every morning on the train into work, newspapers marked my introduction to records management. I was a library aid in the 8th grade. One of our jobs was to comb through certain papers and locate & clip articles. These would be filed by topic to build reference/research files. I loved the work. Imagine how I felt when some 6 years later I found out there was an entire profession that revolved around managing records & information.

Rock on!
Sharon
