Interesting article on the next wave of attempts to provide access to
content in disparate systems.

I find the approach, taking a draft standard developed by 3 major players
and putting into the hands of OASIS for validation/verification and further
development to result in a true "standard" interesting. 

The end result, if successful. will be the development of a standard for use
that systems should allow for the sharing of information between web-based
SOA repositories. 

Ultimately, this will require 'product road maps' from systems vendors to
allow for interchange of information... but this is a way off still.  Early
drafts are not truly able to be worked with, so it doesn't seem as if anyone
will be able to begin changing the way current systems are designed to
assist in easing deployment once this is finally available as a true
deliverable.
