Boxes have a burst strength rating or something to that effect. You may want to verify that the boxes are capable of the weight being placed on them.

Other issues you may want to consider:
1- how far are they being moved?
2-how smooth are the roads?
3-will the pallets be packed in tight enough so movement will be minimal?
4-what is the worst case scenario (other than total loss) If you have a number of boxes burst and have to rebox, reindex, ect, what is the cost?
