Cintas is doing shredding and operating commercial records centers in various markets. They have / had a very aggressive expansion plan through organic growth. I believe they typically start with shredding services for their customer base (since they often deal with property managers for uniforms, mats, first aid supplies and so forth) and then see if they can get an anchor client for records storage. They are also approaching records managers once they get established in a market. No feelings positive or negative on my part -- they don't have the geographic reach quite yet. (I do drive by their Chicago records center every day.)

Brinks has also gotten into the shredding business.  http://www.brinkssecuredata.com/  http://www.brinksdocumentdestruction.com/
