Good morning; I conducted my first call with HR and Corporate Legal on
Monday regarding the new law. Based on research by one of our
litigation attorneys, a preliminary recommendation was made to forego
the current "ACT +10 Years" retention of terminated employee files an
assign a "Permanent" retention period. However, the discussion did take
into account that it is too early to implement a significantly increased
retention period without a further understanding of precedents and
degree of risk and storage costs.

Subject: Ledbetter Act

Hello to all...

I was wondering if anyone on the list would be willing to share their
insights/experiences as to how they have approached and started to make
changes to their policies, programs, or procedures to align themselves
to the Ledbetter Act. I have reached out to my Legal, HR, and Payroll
Departments and given them my take on things, but I think it would be
valuable to me and my company to consider the thoughts and lessons
learned from outside our little corner of the world.

Thanks!

Brent
