support the major economic events of people's lives. The First American
Corporation, with its headquarters in Santa Ana, has approximately 2,100
offices throughout the United States and abroad. The First American
Corporation is currently seeking a Corporate Records Manager to work with
its Chief Regulatory Counsel and Chief Information Officer to develop a new
records (paper and electronic) management program. The Corporate Records
Manager will be responsible for establishing and implementing new records
retention policies and procedures across the organization, ensuring
compliance through audit and refining operational efficiencies. * Develop
and implement records management policies and procedures in accordance with
State and Federal laws and regulations. * Oversee organizational compliance
with records management policies and procedures. * Manage records
administrators/ coordinators across the organization for diverse business
units. * Periodically update records management policies, procedures and
retention schedules across the organization. * Maintain records inventory
for on-site/ off-site records, including location, quantity and associated
retention schedules. * Responsible for consolidating existing off-site hard
copy records storage facilities into more centralized locales, and serve as
liaison to those facilities across the organization. * Evaluate operational
efficiencies in converting hard copy records to electronic media where
feasible. * Lead implementation of records management software system for
enhanced operational efficiencies. * Regularly audit organizational records
management compliance. Qualifications * BA/BS degree in information
management is required Masters is a plus, or related scientific or technical
field; * Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation and active involvement
in national or regional records management organizations (ARMA, AIIM, ICRM);
* At least 8 years prior experience in corporate records management;
experience with large scale records management program desirable; * Proven
records management skills and knowledge transfer demonstrated through
publications or presentations; * Extensive knowledge of applicable laws and
regulations pertaining to the maintenance and retention of records; *
Knowledge of records management related systems (email archiving and
document management solutions); prior experience with records management
software is desirable.
