After perusing the RECMGMT-L list archives and coming up short on recent subject topic discussion, I turn to the list. While participating on the team designing our electronic data archiving system for our Engineering division, my boss and our IT representative asked me to research RIM standards & best practices for file and folder naming conventions in an electronic environment. I've got my arms in several resources right now and am aware of "Establishing Alphabetic, Numeric and Subject Filing Systems" available at the ARMA bookstore. Are there others? ANSI, ISO, IT professional group recommendations that I'm missing?

Thanks in advance.
