Hi Peter -

Try ULINE. They make all kinds of boxes.

Subject: new list member with a query about custom-made boxes

Greetings all,

I am running a records- and photo-management project at a small Jewish
cultural center and museum in Los Angeles, and have just recently
subscribed to this list.

I have a couple of questions that I hope some of you may be able to help
with, and I will send them as separate e-mails, as they are both quite
different.

This one has to do with ordering custom-made, cardboard boxes. I need
several boxes measuring approximately 46x34x6, with tops that fit over
the bottom portion - sort of a flat banker's box.

I don't need archival quality, just plain old, heavy-duty cardboard, and
I know they exist because I found a smaller example among our
engineering department's discards. But that one contains no
manufacturer's name, no product number, no nothing to indicate who made
it. It is, however, the kind of box one puts together on-site - again,
like a banker's box, just flat.

The rep who handles our regular box orders hasn't been able to assist
me, and the local box supplier (Box City) wasn't any help either. So, if
any of you can recommend a supplier or manufacturer that you think might
be able to help with this somewhat offbeat request, I'd appreciate
hearing from you.

Many thanks,

Peter
