Job Title: Records Analyst I

Business Unit: Water Services

Status: Full-time, Regular

Duties and Responsibilities
Provides assistance in the management of the life cycle of records for Water Services, including formulation of filing systems, conversion and implementation of active files, and appropriate storage and preservation of inactive records. Assists in the evaluation of records management needs for the business unit and the work groups within the business unit. Assists in developing recommendations and procedures for the creation, control, storage and disposal of those records.

Assists users to improve collaboration and compliance associated with information creation, storage and retrieval and provide user support for electronic document and records management systems such as Microsoft Share Point and EDMS.

Assists in the analysis of business operations to understand process strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to improve processes and functions. Documents business requirements that will be used to develop solutions. May assist in the development and implementation of standardized procedures for business systems analysis, business process mapping and business requirements documentation.

Work will be performed in an office setting and occasional travel may be required.

Minimum Requirements
Education:  Bachelor's or Masters Degree in Records Management, Library/Information Science or relevant field.

Experience: None required.

Substitution:  If you do not meet the combination of education and experience requirements as listed above, you must have at least four years experience using electronic document and records management systems; troubleshooting and user support for document management systems; AND conducting training on records management systems.

Other Information
Prefer specialized knowledge of records management principles and practices and electronic document and record management systems. General knowledge of business systems analysis and business process management techniques is needed.  Demonstrated skill in planning, scheduling and prioritizing work and evaluating complex customer needs and presenting business justification to customers is strongly preferred.  Intermediate skill in office productivity tools are desired.

Salary Range: Salary Grade 9:  $19.27 - $27.93/Hourly
