Much like the people who went after Blackberry(RIM) on patent infringement
(and forced RIM to settle), a patent troll - in my opinion - has reared
their ugly head in electronic records management. The new patent
"generally relates to enabling individuals in an enterprise to uniformly
classify records." That wonderfully generic statement could apply to any
current electronic records management (ERM) software vendor.

Since patent trolls have been known to go after the customers of the
patent, this will require end users to make sure any contract with an ERM
software vendor include a patent indemnity clause.
