If you have a new "Schedule A" being proposed by the vendor, then you STILL
have the right to negotiate with them.

As to your question about timing of receipt or notice of disapproval, that's
like any other contract... these negotiations always rely on date/time
stamps, proving when something took place, or language in the prior contract
stating when price changes go into effect.  

Unfortunately, there are many of these contracts that state increases of x%
are automatic and contract automatically renews unless you contact them
prior to the end date.   Which again goes back to the earlier comment about
negotiating T&C.
