Hi Amy,
Typically we hire interns during the summer but were just approved to
have a spring semester intern for 2010. (Too bad you aren't closer to
NC!) This is unusual and only because we are inventorying a large amount
of records during this time.
We post directly with the universities' library services departments. I
am lucky to be in an area with several large universities nearby.
Hope this is helpful.

Subject: Student Internships
Hello All
Happy Tuesday!
I was wondering if any of you know if your company hires student interns
for
records management? If yes, do they go through a university or look for
students through the classifieds (or websites, etc)? Also, do they hire
students on a regular basis (ie yearly during the summer) or only when
they
have a particular project?
Any information regarding this would be helpful. I am trying to decide
if I
want to do an internship as a class through my RIM program or try to
find
one on my own.
Thanks in advance.
