I would also argue that the people making these decisions have no clue
as to the very real potential for damage when these sensitive items are
transported in an overseas container or spring ride freight trailer.
Since moving to the data protection side I have been responsible for the
relocation of several data centers which required dedicated use of air
ride, climate controlled trucks driven by a team (so they could drive
straight through without stopping for security purposes). Prior to the
equipment being loaded, there were teams of computer geeks locking down
hard drives and packaging the equipment before we could touch it. 

Just watch the spring ride Roadway Express trailer in front of you while
driving someday and imagine-
