Thanks for passing along an interesting read!  I think that this is
definitely another example where paper is preferable to electronic.  I
would love to browse through old diaries, but I don't think that I would
have the same interest if those were electronic. I wonder though, if my
kids would feel the same, or will they grow up being more comfortable
with electronic media?
