Position Description 

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, controlling, evaluating, 
and reporting on all phases of assigned FOMC Secretariat projects that 
support a full range of records management objectives.  Projects include 
initiatives for improving the FOMC's electronic recordkeeping system and 
developing collections of FOMC and related documents.  The principal 
duties
 and responsibilities of the position are similar to those of consultants 
that oversee initiatives to improve or reengineer established business 
processes. 

Position Requirements 

Required: Masters in Information Management, Library Science or related 
field.  4+ years of experience managing projects related to all phases of 
the information life cycle.  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
are essential.  Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication 
skills, 
sound judgment, and initiative are required.  Knowledge of the underlying 
technical aspects of records and information management, including 
electronic 
records.    

Highly desirable:  Certified Records Manager (CRM), Project Management 
Professional (PMP) or other relevant credential.  Experience with federal 
government agency records, file plans, and information security. 
 Demonstrated
knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Adobe Acrobat.  
  
Desirable:  Familiarity with economics, banking, finance, or business.
