Employee: Well, here are all the records we have!
Records Manager: but at the third floor I have seen more records!
Employee: at the third floor ...? But they are only invoices!
(This conversation took place at the fourth floor)
This is my first posting and, as the RECMGMT
Guidelines suggest, I want to briefly introduce myself to you:
I am an Italian and currently I live in Vancouver, Canada,
where I am attending a course of archival studies at SLAIS (UBC).
I heard in person this conversation in Turin, Italy, in 1999, because
I was the records manager, and I was answered as you can see above.
For the sake of completeness, I want to add below the original italian words:
Employee: Ecco qua tutti i nostri documenti di archivio!
Records Manager: Ma al terzo piano ho visto che ci sono altri documenti!
Employee: Al terzo piano...? Ma quelle sono solo fatture!
