Join the SLA Maryland Chapter on Monday March 15 for a tour of the Maryland State House and the Legislative Library!
Tour
The Maryland State House was the location for many important events in American history, such as George Washington's resignation as commander in chief of the Continental Army during the American Revolution. We will learn more about this and other significant events and facts as we tour the State House. We will also see the legislative library and learn about its role in the legislature.
The tour will conclude with the opportunity to sit in on the Maryland legislative session.
Dinner
Before the tour we will enjoy each other's company while dining on delicious sandwiches. Choices include Roast Beef and Bleu, Spring Garden, and Turkey Sesame. Please indicate your preference when you register for the event. Chips, cookies, and drinks are also included.
When: Monday, March 15 * 5:15pm - 8:00pm
(optional opportunity to sit in on the Maryland legislative session starting at 8:00pm)

Picture IDs are required for entrance and metal detectors are in operation. Bags and backpacks will be searched.
Cost:
* $27.00 SLA members (rate is extended to members of: ALA, MLA, AALL, ASIST, AIIP, ARMA and Maryland Library Assoc.)
* $17.00 LIS students, and retired and unemployed SLA members
* $35.00 Non-members (guests are welcome!)
