First posting but I have been lurking ever since the ARMA conference in
October. What a great resource this listserv is for the newly christened RIM
Specialist!

I've become aware of an email marketing campaign that intends to use a third
party to send messaging to clients or potential clients on behalf of our agency
force. The 3rd party company was completely caught off guard (as well as
Marketing) about the broker dealer requirement to retain all email for 3 years
even though marketing claims this company is one of the leaders in email
marketing. To make this short, we are working through how we might comply
with the requirement. My question is specifically to other RIM professionals in
the insurance or financial services industry that send email blasts (spam) from
a third party. What do you guys do? Can you share? Apparently we want to
use a 3rd party because we lack the ability to have
a "unsubscribe" "subscribe" link in our own emails plus we are talking hundreds
of thousands of email.

Thanks
