The standard answer is 'That Depends'.
In California I've seen monthly box storage costs from the low of $0.20 to
the high of $0.50. But that is only one line item on an invoice.
Some Common Commercial Records Center Costs:
Pick-up and Delivery
Check-in, Check-out
Shelf Storage Costs
Vault Storage Counts
Data Entry
Destruction (By Type)
Pull Charges
Space Reservation
Account Closing Hostage Fees
For a vendor to quote you costs or for you to run an estimated budget to
keep the storage center in-house you need to describe in detail what is
being stored, how long it needs to be stored, the volume and frequency of
retrieval and the method of destruction required at the end of retention.
