Susan & Peter --
Would it be possible to echo Peter's RAIN posts to the Yahoo group to RECMGMT-L? That is, Peter posts once to Yahoo, and the List subscribes to the Yahoo group?
I greatly appreciate what Peter has done for these many years. Peter, you are much more dedicated than am I ... especially in light of the intolerance and lack of humor on the other lists. Rules in Outlook are easy to create -- I signed up for the new Yahoo setup and created a rule to move incoming RAIN into its own folder in a few minutes.
The downside of the Yahoo arrangement is the lack of interaction and the narrowed participation. All of us benefit from a wider audience, even when we quickly scan and hit delete. Many is the time something caught my eye, learned and sometimes shared with others. My boss is always pleased when we catch a problem early and nip it, before it bites us.

First of all, there were no complaints from the recmgmt-l listserv. The complaints came from other lists where Peter posts RAIN.
I don't want to speak for Peter, who is actually busy today working - unlike me, who took the day off and am lounging on my couch. But, Peter had been contemplating this move for awhile because it will take him less time. It is his decision and he'll explain in more detail when he has the chance.
As you may know but might have forgotten, this listserv is basically owned by me, and Peter and Marc manage it. I consider both of them co-owners. It is not a democracy, as the three of us determine what happens to this list. It is not a part of ARMA or any other professional organization.
I know Peter appreciates all the support of the recmgmt-l listserv and those who have spoken out about RAIN. He feels very strongly about this listserv and the RAIN postings. My thanks to all of you for voicing concerns about the changes having to do with RAIN. I hope everyone will also support his decision on what works best for him when it comes to the changes in RAIN.
