I completed Part 6 in February and have been in touch with the ICRM about the test taking issues with PearsonVue. I've also suggested that the handbook be updated to specify things like you can't copy/cut/paste to different screens; only 1 white board allowed; no food, drink, etc.
My advice:
1) Get a mentor. I wrote in November 2009 and failed. Then I got a mentor and passed the next time.
2) Attend a CRM workshop where the ICRM's new study materials are being presented. There are 2 that I know of:
September 29 in Calgary, Alberta at the Zoo Registrar's Association annual conference (www.zooregistrars.org )
October 14 & 15 in Kelowna, British Columbia at the ARMA Canada Mountain Pacific Region conference (http://www.armavi.org/whining/index.php)
3) Simulate the conditions you'll be writing under - work from an electronic version of the question only. It's a challenge to bounce from the question to your answer when writing the exam.
