Nice to hear that the city hasn't changed that much since I left ... um,
wow, 18 yrs ago! Looking forward to the trip home though.

I echo your sentiment about Tahoe. Lived there for a few years and really
can't think of any place more beautiful, snow or not. Oh, and anyone who
travels up Hwy 1 MUST stop in Bodega Bay. I think it's a law. ;)

Other SF stuff to do - take a cable car ride (anywhere), head over to
Lombard St., go across the Golden Gate to Sausalito and find a great local
spot to have a beer or two, check out the Presidio, Pier 39 is very touristy
but the sea lions are usually hanging around, head down to Haight and
Ashbury to pay homage to Joplin and her ilk and then have a picnic lunch in
the park, see if the Opera House is doing tours ... it's hard to hang around
SF and not run into something interesting, historical, etc. How about going
to visit the Stanford and/or Berkeley campuses?

Speaking of the East Bay, anyone want to take a side trip to Gilman St. with
me? Haven't been there since Green Day was a garage band and Tim Armstrong
of Rancid was "Lint" of Operation Ivy.

To borrow Sharon's line ... Rock On!

Julie
