Ben,

When asked by our counsel to produce our entire retention schedule, I
try to guide them to narrow down that request (e.g., "Are you sure you
want all 75 sections of the schedule, which will result in 2,500
separate record series?").  This has been a successful strategy for me
in the past.  However, if our counsel -- or opposing counsel -- is
adamant about seeing the whole thing, then that's what we'll produce.
Our goal is to attempt to limit our response to what's pertinent, not to
withhold anything.
