If you are talking about expatriate employees then I would think that these
records would be part of the employees file and thus subject to the same
retention as the rest of the records in the employee file.

remember not every record is covered by or mentioned specifically by a
regulation or law. you need to ask yourself as you do retention analyis the
following questions;

Why is this record created?
What purpose does this record serve?
How is this record used within the organization
What is the function of the record
in other words what is the purpose, use and function of the record?
Who creates it, who uses it and who maintains it?
