Recordkeeping Leads to I-9 Fine
*Deficient recordkeeping -- but not any actual instances of hiring illegal
workers -- resulted in a seven-figure fine levied by U.S. Immigration and
Customs Enforcement. Using technology for I-9s offers some benefits, but HR
leaders can't ignore their organizations' responsibility for making sure
such systems are in compliance with the law. *
