State suspends six insurance companies, alleges bad record-keeping
Washington state has suspended six insurance companies that sell
property and casualty policies from writing new coverage for nine
months, after finding the companies had repeatedly failed to document
rate changes.

Issued by Insurance Commissioner Mike Kreidler Monday, the order also
proposes a $534,000 fine for the insurers' parent company, Chubb &
Son. The fine is contingent on a hearing.
