Village Delays Vote on Email Retention Policy - Buffalo Grove, IL Patch
Buffalo Grove officials delayed action Monday on an ordinance that
would allow the village to delete a number of emails from its system.

As outlined on Monday night's board agenda, the ordinance would have
given village employees the right to permanently delete "non-record
messages," defined as "email messages that do not set policy,
establish guidelines or procedures, certify a transaction, or become a
receipt."
