Alex,
As I'm sure you know, Silverlight is an application framework (similar to Adobe Flash) that can be used for almost anything, including web-based records management application development. My company is currently using it to develop native SharePoint 2010 records management functionality that will enable SharePoint 2010 to meet the DoD 5015.2 RMA Standard requirements. So far, our developers have been very pleased with it and, from what I've seen in solution testing, it works very well.
I'll try to keep you posted on our progress as we approach DoD testing.
Cheers,
Don Lueders, CRM, CDIA
