Holly asked " I'm looking for any information on requirements for managing structured data (i.e. databases)" to "Safely archive and remove precise subsets of rarely used data from complex relational databases with 100 percent accuracy."

In addition to VERS (as recommended by Glenn Sanders), you may want to check out the SIARD toolkit developed by the Swiss Federal Archives specifically for preserving relational databases. It's available, according to the Web site, free of charge after you sign a licensing agreement.

The URL for the English-language site is http://www.bar.admin.ch/dienstleistungen/00823/00825/index.html?lang=en

Best regards,

Fred
