This is posted on behalf of Prof Julie McLeod of Northumbria University. As
it is a distance-learning course and thus available to students outside the
United Kingdom, it may be of interest to list members. Any queries should be

Northumbria University is accepting applications for its distance learning
MSc Information and Records Management starting in September 2011. Recently
renamed to better reflect its breadth of content and changes such as the
names of professional bodies

**) it offers a range of qualifications. You can enrol onto the PG Diploma
(18months) or the MSc (2 years) or onto single modules. This means it is
flexible to meet the needs of part-time learners and is ideal for gaining
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.

Modules include: recordkeeping principles; recordkeeping practice;
e-recordkeeping; management; data, law and ethics. Current and previous
graduates work in a wide range of jobs e.g. as Records & Information
Managers, Information Governance and Compliance Officers, Knowledge
Managers, Information Officers, CIOs and SIROs, Document Managers and
Information Systems specialists.
