Beth,

During an A/E/C project professional firms are designing and building
different parts of a structure. Copyright of drawings and other
instruments of service are spelled out (1) on the documents (ex: a
copyright note on a drawing), (2) in the design and consulting
agreements, and (3) on drawings release agreements. Agreements are one
source you did not mention in your research list, so I would go there.
Make these rights clear in the agreements, and you probably go a long
way toward accounting for most of the documents that end up in your
project files.

Hello everyone:

First, I should introduce myself; I am a student in an online MLIS
program (graduating in December), and I have also worked in the library
and RIM departments of a mid-sized A/E firm for a few years. I have been
lurking around the listserv for about a year, and have tried to soak in
all the information that gets shared on here-it's been very helpful.
