Does anyone have knowledge of the storage media used by life insurance companies to store records long term, 25+ years? The industry has long retention requirements for a variety of reasons that would include claims out in the distant future and the need for original underwriting records.
Do life insurance companies use micrographics because of long term media stability or do they currently use digital imaging with appropriate migration planning?
