Jobs Post - Records Management Consultant - City of Surrey, BC, Canada 

 

The City of Surrey is seeking a qualified Records Consultant to manage
the corporate records program for three to six months during a new-hire
search. 

 

Reporting to the City Clerk, the position manages the Records Centre and
Mail Room and is supported by seven union staff. 

 

Applicant must be a Canadian citizen or have a valid Working Visa.

 

 

Job Responsibilities 

 

Staff management: work plan updates, monthly team meetings; individual
staff meetings; scheduling and timesheet sign-off; general queries; and
any performance-related issues.

 

Records: corporate file plan updates; review and sign-off paper record
dispositions; oversee corporate records training program; and
administer/participate in current records projects.

 

EDRMS: oversee RM sustainment activities relating to Open Text Content
Server, currently implemented to five business units and 250 users.

 

New City Hall Move: work with NCH Move Committee to ensure appropriate
records oversight for Records-On-The-Move activities.

 

Administration: review and sign-off invoices and similar tasks.

 

 

Required

 

Master of Archives Science, Master of Information Studies, or Certified
Records Manager designation.

 

Advanced records management experience in local government records
management (i.e. five to eight years minimum).

 

Experience with an EDRMS system (e.g. Open Text Content Server, Open
Text eDocs, Documentum, or TRIM).

 

Strong documentation, writing, and interpersonal skills.

 

 

Salary

 

Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
