After taking a wonderful one month sabbatical in September, learning
that I will soon be a grandmother, and just in general being ready not
to live a Prufrockian life, I made the decision to retire from the
full-time work force. Today is my last full work day and will be my
sayonara to my listserv friends for now. I will come to the office on
Monday for final meetings and lunch and then will be footloose and fancy
free!!
I am considering some opportunities for short term or part-time work,
but at present my immediate future plans are to take care of some
projects at my house, continue to devote time to the ICRM, my church and
a couple of non-profit boards I am involved with, enjoy my two little
chihuawhat puppies (Honey and Badger), work out more, go to more movies,
read more books, listen to more music, entertain and travel more and
well, just take things a little slower.
I have so enjoyed being a part of this group and will plan to attend the
listserv party in Las Vegas this fall (if invited) and may re-subscribe
after I take a hiatus. But in the meantime, since I will "unsubscribe"
on Monday, I hope you all continue the wonderful discussions and know
that I am forever indebted to my colleagues for improving my knowledge
of RIM, being there as sounding boards and resources and generously
sharing your experience and expertise with me.
