Thanks Hugh for your comments and insight and I agree wholeheartedly - they are too big and it is next to impossible it seems to get anybody who can actually effect the change we need here!!

We had a discussion about LinkedIn and the risk they present.  I actually went through their procedures to have my data removed.  Shortly thereafter they were hacked and information exposed.  Now I received an email from LinkedIn and they never removed my information.

I again went through a big procedure to talk to an individual there and guarantee they would take it down AGAIN!!  But they are still emailing me as if I am a member.

To me this is a sign of a bad business partner as you cannot control it.  What if you interview for a job and tell them you are a VP but they see your LinkedIn is still showing you are an assistant to an assistant.  Your potential job goes away because LinkedIn does not allow you to accurately, 100% of the time control your info.

I can see why this guy is ticked.  It is a form of Identity Theft because once they create an identity for you, your control goes away.  I hope to see a Class Action develop against them in the future.  I will join it because they are irresponsible and that is the last thing you need in someone holding your personal information.

But good luck shutting your account down as they just reboot and you are up again. Every back up puts you back in the system.  And they never stop emailing you.
