Good morning, Angeline (and RIMserv),
The good people on ARMA's Publications staff sponsored at least two articles in the "Information Management" magazine on this subject. Written by a committee of Document Control/Records Managers in 2010 and 2011, the articles are titled, "Making the Case for Merging Document Control and Records Management". The committee of writers included Vera Beck, myself, Ilona Koti, Teri Loriss, Wendy McLain, and Sue Veal.
The conference calls were extraordinary (and great fun); for a year and half we grappled with some of the issues presented to you for your consideration this morning. Whittling down our arguments from 15 pages to 3 at most was a wonderful exercise ~ perhaps some ideas mentioned therein would be helpful to your own case study.
