Good afternoon,

The subject question is geared more towards energy and utility companies that are creating/using/managing highly hazardous chemicals, and are implementing or have implemented OHSA's Process Safety Management (PSM).  Because of a butane blending project we are undergoing at one of our LA facilities, we are required to implement PSM there but there is new discussion internally about making it enterprise-wide.  Has anyone implemented PSM?  If so, I'm just wondering what-if any impact it has made on records keeping requirements on your RM program?  Did you have to create new records series to accommodate PSM?  Did it impact any current records series already in place-were their retention periods adjusted up or down to accommodate PSM?

We/I am learning more about this, but wanted to reach out to the RM ListServ for any lessons learned-particularly from a records standpoint, that you are able to share.  BTW, for anyone interested in PSM, here's a link to the OSHA 3132 PSM standard<https://www.osha.gov/Publications/osha3132.pdf>.
