Don't really need the politics, especially when an identical, and just as
simplistic, case could be made from other political perspectives.
And this isn't really an AIIM vs. ARMA thing either - after all, last I
checked the vendor community was a part of the ARMA community as well and
in fact forms a larger part of the success for ARMA's conference (in pure $
terms) compared to AIIM's. Were they to take exceptions to such
descriptions, I daresay this august group and ARMA attendees broadly would
be shocked (shocked!) at how much prices would need to be raised to cover
the funding shortfalls.
