Noted eDiscovery guru, litigator, and blogger Ralph Losey
<http://www.jacksonlewis.com/people.php?PeopleID=1621> has recently taken
aim at information governance in a two part series of blogs entitled “Hadoop,
Data Lakes, Predictive Analytics and the Ultimate Demise of Information
Governance
<http://e-discoveryteam.com/2014/10/26/hadoop-data-lakes-predictive-analytics-and-ultimate-demise-of-information-governance-part-one/>.”
While I have immense respect for Ralph (and certainly his pioneering work
on predictive coding) he’s out over skis
<http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2012/05/where-did-the-phrase-over-his-skis-come-from.html>
on this particular anti-IG diatribe.

Fortunately, in this case, and as noted folks like Mark Twain
<http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/13977-the-reports-of-my-death-are-greatly-exaggerated>
quipped before, the death of IG is greatly exaggerated…

"The problems of our economy have occurred not as an outgrowth of
laissez-faire, unbridled competition.
They have occurred under the guidance of federal agencies, and under the
umbrella of federal regulations."
Senator Ted Kennedy, in defending trucking deregulation in 1978.
