expectancy of this brilliant (pun intended) storage is .... more than
three times the estimated life span of our solar system.

The thing is, by that time we'll have found another planet that can
sustain our type of life, and will want to migrate there. Me, I'll want to
travel light, and so these little glass disks will be mighty handy. I
don't want to have to pack my hardcopy of the collected works of Mark
Twain, or Douglas Adams books for that matter...
